The disappointing runway show of Maison Martin Margiela 09 fall/winter

According to New York Magazine website, before Maison Martin Margiela release the 09 fall/winter collection, the company has announced that Maison Martin Margiela will no longer serves as chief designer of the brand, and he will shift to part-time consultant for the brand.

The brand’s CEO, Giovanni Pungetti once said in March that the design team needed Margiela more than he needed himself. But with the approaching of 2010 spring show, there comes new rumor about Margiela. A member of the Margiela design team told JC Report that “he (Martin Margiela) hasn’t shown up since last season”. JC Report said Margiela wasn’t happy about the brand development of Margiela under the management of Diesel. Diesel has acquired this brand in 2002.

According to the source of New York Magazine, Margiela has reached an agreement with his Italian selling agent that if one party leaves the company, the other party will leave accordingly. If Margiela is not satisfied with Diesel’s Market-based instruments and business promotion as well, then the two parties are likely to go their own ways.

Hermès Targets Asia and America In The Future


The net profit of Hermès Group in the first half has declined a bit, and the company claimed again that it predicted the full year sales volume would remain stable, and the business performance would drop a little.

1.    Lot
An individual or a group of items available for sale at auction.

2.    Lots offered without reserve

Lots offered without reserve will be put up for sale with no floor price, the bidder who offers the highest price will obtain the lot and the purchase price is not necessarily related to the estimates price on the auction catalog.

3.    Pre-auction viewing

The auction house will arrange a free public exhibition before the auction. During the exhibition, potential buys can ask for a copy of the status report of the lot, view and inspect the lot, as well as make an appointment with experts from the auction house for advice.
